If you're not currently playing guitar or ukulele, learning the guitalele is very similar with learning to play the guitar. However, you'll have an option to choose. As the guitar strings have been transposed upwards, both the guitalele and the guitar employ the same chord patterns however, they create distinct chords. In this case, the exact form that makes up the G chord on the guitar creates the C chord on the guitalele.
