Today marks a milestone in the evolution of the WooFramework which is the engine that powers every one of our WordPress themes. The WooFramework is mostly responsible for theme setting screens, as well as managing any custom fields you add to your content, displaying the media you have uploaded and also enhancing your theme with breadcrumbs and other useful features.

What are the features to look forward to in Version 6.0

WooFramework 6.0 is a major overhaul of the code, with many features that are focused on self-help and improving your overall user experience the client and you. The new features include an updated welcome screen (displayed after you activate your theme) and a redesigned settings screen that integrates seamlessly with WordPress the platform, as well as an upgraded "Framework" screen for displaying information about your theme, saving your settings for your theme, and assisting you in updating the WooFramework it self.

When will this update be out?

This update is available right today to all WooThemes theme customers, directly via your WordPress admin dashboard.

Because this is an extensive update, we suggest testing on a development or staging environment before transferring this information to your current website.

How can I make changes to the WooFramework?

Updates to the WooFramework through your administrator dashboard can be done in a few clicks. To do this, please read our tutorial.

How do I handle this change?

While we've had several months of external and internal beta testing, we would like to encourage that you take this update with care and avoid rushing the process. There's no urgent need to update, other than to be current with the latest version.
