options to hide a product from catalog and search results

Speaking of Product Add-ons: With the latest release, it's now possible to make it possible tomanually make orders using custom options -- and also modify add-ons on the existing order and select other options if products are not in stock. We've also paved the way for future analytics support through a change to how data is stored.

Cart and Checkout blocks become smaller and more user-friendly.

In terms of performance, we streamlined how JavaScript is designed for the Cart and Checkout blocks, resulting in substantially less data charges per page. The Cart block is reduced by 11% reduction, while Checkout saves 17.9% -- bringing your site up to speed with each step.

Additional checkout fields have graduated from beta release to an official feature. These new fields are user-friendly and give the ability to gather additional information about your customer or their order.

Visual updates include a refreshed order summary (with sticky functions on desktops) and a clearer overview of pickup locations in the local area as well as improved design of address forms and changes to checkout steps. Additionally, we have made adjustments to the accessibility of checkout in order to improve the shopping experience for everyone.

More stylish and BNPL search in WooPayments

WooPay gives you even faster efficiency and speed

After shoppers click "Proceed to checkout," they'll be taken straight to the quick, secure (and already 2.5x higher-converting!) WooPay checkout. That's not all: we've made performance enhancements beneath the hood, so WooPay is also faster to load than it has ever.

We also made it easier to WooPay shoppers to find and utilize their preferred payment method. New "Alternative payment methods" hyperlink in the Pay With section will take shoppers directly to your store's checkout -- with all of the information they need to complete their purchase pre-filled with information provided by WooPay. Save time for your shoppers and give a massive speed increase in your checkout.

Another change that is brand-friendly: the WooPay The Light and Outline themed buttons are upgraded to have a neutral white background that is more compatible with colors associated with stores.

More understanding and better views of Order Attribution

In the course of this year's fiscal year, we introduced the Order Attribution view that displays the origin of your orders so that you can make educated decisions regarding your time and money. In 8.9, we introduced an Attribution column into the table of orders and to the report, so you have additional ways to view and use your data.
