Keith Andrade of The Morning Byte

Keith Andrade, founder of The Morning Byte

"One of my interests is keeping myself up-to-date on all the new stuff that's happening in the tech and business worlds," starts Keith Andade who's been working in software as an service (SaaS) for seven years.

He was a student at Baruch College, a business school located in Manhattan during his time was at Baruch College, he picked up many things about business that be in sync with his love of technology. "The two have a lot in common," he discovered. " Businesses today have to depend on technology for success, to grow and scale. It was interesting to realize how all these elements work."

In the following years, he began working for a health insurance and payroll company. "Previously, it was all pen and paper, and filing cabinets. Then, this company was revolutionizing the market," he recalls.

Then he was employed at monday.com as well as ones.com in the sale of the software for managing projects to companies. "I was a fan. It was then that I realised to be able to engage effectively with my customers I had to be able to do more than just understand technology, not simply understand how their business is run, but also be updated on the latest developments."

The Morning Byte

Keith was known to take his leisure time scouring the internet and finding articles and then sending them out to his family and friends. "I realized that I couldn't just keep delivering them content every day about something that I find fascinating'. So I created this news text service to give a quick update on what's going on." He created an automated system using Zapier and ChatGPT to allow him to locate the articles that he enjoys, then summarize these into short bullet points and then send them as a text message to subscribers," Keith explains.

The problem with social media

"Our customers love social media. Everyone does - it's that instant gratification," Keith continues. The problem of social media is that it winds up taking the majority in your daily time. There are many ways to utilize TikTok to find some short news clips You could utilize Instagram and follow your favorite influential person to view a carousel image post of what's happening however the problem is that whenever you launch an app, you're exposed to other views and opinions which are automatically displayed within your newsfeed."

Keith believes the advantage of The Morning Byte is it is free of the distractions from other content that are competing to get your attention. "It's an SMS message that you can open it whenever you'd like. You have that freedom again," he explains.

A few readers read the article first thing in the morning. Others skim it at lunchtime. "The idea is that you're in charge of your attention. Social media is a place where you have to cut through the noise to locate what you're looking for. Social media is a time drain and wastes your time. Time is the most valuable resource that we possess," Keith adds.

He continues that social media doesn't have any motive to enhance our lives. "It's wonderful to stay connected however, it's not just to stay connected is it?" he asks. "I go through my newsfeed including all ads, or companies paying for the right to publish their content."

"I consider social media to be fun. I like it; however, But I'm not sure it's the best. In my opinion, it's not beneficial for our mental health. The Morning Byte is a place for people who actually want to better their lives." The author suggests that people wanting to take advantage of technology or wanting to become an entrepreneur need to have resources available to keep ahead of the game "All I'm suggesting is that The Morning Byte might be the best option for you!" he smiles.

Importantly, Keith uses his own products every single day. "I spend nights working until midnight, looking for pertinent information since sometimes events happen in the evening and I want people to be ready and informed when they start their day. I choose reliable sources such as Reuters or The New York Times. Forbes can be great; The Verge is a excellent source."

Keith notes that, regardless of whether you're a smaller company owner, if you have a reliable source of data that isn't available to a big media organization, then it's worth the Morning Byte's consideration. "If I think your article fascinating, I'll send it to our readers as you can prove it's worth reading!" he adds.

The ability to stay ahead

Being a person who has worked for many firms, Keith was constantly thinking about how he could take an item he loved and turn it into a business model to monetize it, all the while offering value to the customers. Before he came to the idea of a business model for The Morning Byte, he noticed another client, The New Paper, was doing something really similar however, it was in the realm of the news of politics. Keith recognized an opportunity.

"I consider there's plenty to gain for those who work in tech. Real estate professionals, for example need to know how AI technology is impacting their daily life." Keith thought he could aid them to stay in the forefront of technology. "If you're a podcaster It's like 'Do I need the newest microphone?' Or is there a tool that can assist me in making my voice sound crisp?' All of these are things that people are asking their own since there's an innovative AI technology being developed each day."

When The New Paper focuses on the political landscape, The Morning Byte focuses on financial tech, electric cars, artificial intelligence and machine learning."

Understandably enough, Keith's subscribers are professionals in the field of technology and business proprietors, who have very little time. "It's challenging to stay on top of things and there's misinformation. On my website, everything is factual. There are highlights of the pieces. You don't have to go through the entire piece and you only get the highlights, and then be able to understand the situation. If you're interested in reading the source of the information, as it's crucial to know the source of your data you can find the link to the source on the site.

"The story is on the themorningbyte.co The article also features a beautiful visual rendering that uses generative AI art to really tell an amazing story. it's intriguing. This article gives people the chance to have a productive conversation, but also stay ahead and be informed."

It looks like Keith's journey has taken him full circle from a user needing details, then a buyer of his own product becoming the founder of a business that curates information for others. It's one thing keeping up to date, but, as Keith is aware, being ahead of the curve is a different ball game. There are a variety of services there to help you. It might be time to consider taking the plunge and take a Byte!
