Ben L Collins, the Google Sheets expert behind the educational website benlcollins.com Ben L Collins is extremely grateful for his membership company and the business model of creating of digital media in a whole. "When you've created something, whether it's an artist designing a technical course or a building membership the moment a stranger opens their wallet and gives the cash you've earned, you'll realize that you're extremely fortunate to be able to create that type of thing and connect to so many different people.
"If you happen to look at my offerings and is impressed enough to purchase it, I'd love to do all possible to make sure the product is as perfect as it can be for them," he continues.
Ben enjoys the idea of joining a club because it's much far more than a single cost "We're not talking about the agreement for consulting where clients contract your services to perform a task that's structured and written out and all parties know what's involved. This is more an alliance in which a person wants to state, "I'd like to join your team in the next year or month or quarter. I'm grateful for all you're achieving and I'd love to contribute and be part of this."
The membership program gives you motivation to be the very best you are and striving to create amazing materials. "People believe that I will produce high-quality content, however, I would really want to create it to benefit them and my personal benefit. "
Ben states that it helps in building a strong relationship you have with the community "I consider myself helping the community more than simply being an anonymous individual who buys the course, but can not be sure whether you actually look at the course. The impact is greater once you sign up for the membership or become more involved. It's about creating an intimate connection that is more than just exchange."
Starting with "always never" to microdeliverables
When the covid-19 outbreak, Ben taught classes on manipulating data with Google Sheets for 10 years. "I was able to teach at least 15 classes on Teachable and maybe even 25 launch dates, as my courses were renewed. If you're a teacher, you must put in as much - or even more time and effort in marketing than actually delivering the class. Although it's fascinating however, I'm not an enthusiast as it's not what I excel at."
Ben L Collins Ben L Collins had been a teacher online over the last 10 years. It was at this moment her interest was captured by the eerie.
Ben noticed that he loved working on technical content of spreadsheets and also aiding others. "People approached me and asked "What can I do to help you with this? It's a fascinating problem to figure out.
"Membership was something that I've thought about probably at least two time before," says Ben. "I was enthralled by the idea since it's a constant source of revenue. Membership isn't having to be continually launching products to make money. There is a significant rise in revenue, but after that you're left with no more." It's an efficient platform that permits the creator to focus on developing and interacting with people that use the platform, instead of in managing marketing.
"For some moment, I'd been thinking about joining but had not gotten over the initial nitty-gritty. I was apprehensive that it could feel as if I was always in the middle of this type of structure wherein I would be constantly participating in various activities. I'd pull my weight back however, I would continue to take the classes." But he had completed his goal he'd set to achieve.
"I'd almost completed all the subjects to be taught in full courses. It was hard to find alternatives that didn't get more complex and the demand for them to decrease as the courses become more advanced," he continues. "There wasn't an economic reason to enroll in any of the courses I'd consider."
Ben insists that he had the feeling of burning out. "I thought "I must create 100 Teachable videos which need to be cohesive. It was quite a task for me to muster the courage to create everything all at once. It's impossible to know in advance whether the buyers buying it will buy the item. "
Ben says that online classes will require that the authors publish the course before marketing the course. But, there's no way to know if the course will succeed. "It might take 3 to 6 months to design an effective course. If the course doesn't succeed, you can't just repeat the course again, " he adds. "I realized that I required regular communication with my customers, where I'd have microdeadlines as well as microdeliverables."

The concept of joining a membership club quickly came into focus. "I'll be a part of a regular publication. There are rules and templates but they don't have to make up a whole area or linked to one another. It could be a smaller quantity of information that's easier to manage for me, and easy for readers to digest."
From the perspective from a consumer, many people finish the online course "It's difficult to afford an online program that has 10 hours of video. It's difficult for students to handle the 10 hours of material, so you give up and never again. If you get an weekly email It is possible to schedule an hour during the course of a lunch break, and reap plenty of rewards from this week. You can then save it for the next week." Ben explains.
On the very beginning of the spring in 2024, Ben began to think his options for joining the group. As the summer progressed, Ben began sketching his outline of what the plan was before launching in September.
Email is still king
In his interview about his professional life, Ben is keen to acknowledge his wife. "I'm very fortunate that my wife accomplish everything I've spoken about in the past. She's managed her own business as well as launched a range of new products, and she knew how to create an email database." Ben received various pieces of advice early on in his journey in membership "that was extremely helpful" One of them was setting up an email list.
Ben's wife was a content marketer as Ben was beginning to establish his network. "She ran an agency which managed marketing for clients, as well as blogging and SEO, and social media. This was incredibly helpful and evidently beneficial to what I wanted to do in the moment," Ben adds.
"Emails are the most effective method for reaching those whom you would like to reach," he continues. However, the author acknowledges that it could not be the case for children. However, he says: "The problem with social media, especially those that are more modern like TikTok is this gap in communications between the people you want to reach and the people you are trying to reach.
It's your responsibility to produce content, but this platform shows what's most popular and trending regardless of whether or not you have 10,000 or 100,000 followers. If your piece of content doesn't rank as viral according to the algorithm, it's unlikely that everyone is likely to have access to it. It's a tension. Your actions are dependent on the guidelines of this platform. In the event that they modify their algorithms or cease to be popular We've observed a few social media platforms disappear and that's why having an email database in the first place is vital.
Here are some tips for those who want to become membership operators
"If someone were to start the process of joining a brand new company, I'd advise to them "Just begin!" Ben smiles. "With an eye towards the future I'd rather begin this process within the past two years. The things that take long. After you've gotten going, the longer you'll have."

It's not difficult to perform some additional study "You might convince yourself you're wrong, or there's a better method to tackle this. I've tried it before. After you hit "Go" after which you add an item to the universe and start interacting with other people. The idea is an entirely new idea. The focus shifts to actually finding the problems you have to address instead of just imagining those issues."
It is essential to remember of not thinking too much about it "If you're trying to solve a person's problem and they need to address a challenge that you're able aid them in and you think your group can help, then go out! Your capacity to improve is going to come with time."
