Ben L Collins, the Google Sheets expert behind the educational site benlcollins.com Ben L Collins is immensely grateful to his membership company as well as the overall economy of artists in general. "When you're working on something, whether you're an artist, or you're composing the technical contents of another member of a building, and a uninvolved stranger walks in with their wallets and offers your cash, you'll discover you're extremely blessed to be able to accomplish this kind of thing, and also be able to connect with so many people.

"If you're spending time to have a look at my work and they are satisfied enough to spend the money, I want to do all I can achieve to make the experience the best possible experience for them," he continues.

Ben is a fan of the membership program because it's more than a single fee: "We're not talking about a consulting agreement where the person is hiring you to finish something that's written and structured and everybody knows exactly what terms they'll be receiving. This is more of a partnership with the individual who says"I'd like to join your bandwagon for the next calendar year, or for an entire month, or quarter. I like what you're doing and would love to join with your efforts and join in this."

A member of the club believes it can give you an incredibly motivating incentive to do your best at all you can do and produce incredible content. "People would naturally expect me to create top-quality material however, I really would want so that it is for them and also for myself. "

Ben says that it is helpful to establish a great connection with your community "I believe that I'm helping people rather than someone who is anonymous buying an online course. You don't be sure if they actually look at the class. It's more real by your membership or better. It's about creating an intimate relationship that goes beyond being transactional."

Beginning with "always always" to microdeliverables

In the time of the outbreak of covid-19, Ben had been delivering classes on manipulation of information using Google Sheets for 10 years. "I taught approximately 15 different classes on Teachable and maybe 25 classes in the event that some courses were revamped. When teaching the course you must be prepared to put in as you can, if not more - to advertising the course. Though it's intriguing but I'm not a fan of it, and it's not something I enjoy."

Ben L Collins Ben L Collins had taught e-courses for 10 years before she was shocked by the covid.

Ben was aware that he would rather be focused on spreadsheets for technical data as well as helping other people. "People would approach me and ask "How could I do this?' This would make for an interesting problem to work on.

"Membership is something I thought about two or three years ago." says Ben. "I really liked that model since it's a recurring income. When you join, you're no longer being required to keep launching something in order to earn money. There's a huge increase in revenues, but you're left with nothing after that." It's a reliable platform that lets creators let them focus on establishing and creating relationships with their customers without having to worry about marketing.

"For some time, I'd been thinking about joining a club however, I'd never made it through the process of research. I was worried about feeling like that I was always on if I used this approach in which I was continuously doing chores. I could always pull back and was in a position to continue with the courses." But, he had achieved what he was trying to accomplish.

"I'd pretty much completed all the things to cover with complete course. It was difficult to find an alternative course that wasn't getting more specific, and is less well-known as you get to higher-end techniques," he continues. "There wasn't any economic reason to take one of the classes that I would have considered."

Ben is also adamant that he was feeling of burning out. "I decided to make 100 Teachable videos which all need to make up one huge piece. I didn't have the time to create the entire item in one session. It's hard to tell for sure whether people will purchase the item. "

Ben says that electronic courses require that the creator make the material available before attempting to market the course. In this way, you can't really know if the course will be an success. "It may take, say 3 to 6 months to create a really excellent course. If the course does not sell in the marketplace, you won't be able to market the course in the next day, " he adds. "I discovered that I required a longer-term relationship with my readers with Microdeliverables and microdeadlines."

The concept of joining was clear. "I'll subscribe to a daily newsletter. There are guidelines and templates. However it doesn't have to be on the same page or be linked to each another. The content could be sized to make it easier for me to digest in a way that is easier for readers to digest."

From the perspective of a customer From a consumer perspective, very few people finish the online course "It's intimidating to buy a course that has the equivalent of 10 hours' worth of content. It's hard for people to squeeze in 10 hours of material, and so the course is stopped and then you do not get around to doing it. However, if you receive one email per week, you'll be able to plan thirty minutes of your lunch break and gain lots of value in this week's. In the end, you'll have to put it aside for the next week." Ben explains.

In the spring of 2024, Ben began to consider joining. In the course of summer the club's founder laid out his plans for what members would comprise the club when he launched the club in September.

Email is the king

When discussing his work, Ben is keen to recognize his wife. "I'm very fortunate that my wife has been through everything prior to. She's managed her own company and has launched a variety of products, and she was able to establish an email mailing list." Ben received a many tips and advice during his career in membership "that greatly helped" among the many lessons was the process of creating emails for a list.

Ben's wife was in the area of content marketing while he was beginning building his network. "She was a part of an agency that handled marketing for clients, writing blog articles SEO and social media. This was extremely helpful obviously for what I wanted to do during that time." Ben adds.

"Emails are by far the best way to connect to your intended audience," says the expert. He admits, however, that they may not be as useful for people younger than them, however He says: "The problem with social media, and especially the most recent platforms like TikTok are that they create an uneasy relationship between you and the people you follow.

It is your obligation to make your content, however the platform shows whatever is hot and popular. it doesn't matter if you're a fan with 10,000 or 100,000 fans, in the event that your content isn't an immediate hit, as determined by the algorithm, it's unlikely that your readers are ever going to see it. It's a tension-filled connection. Your actions are governed by the policies of the platform. If they change their algorithms or cease to be popular as we've seen many social media networks disappear - so having an email database is crucial.

A few tips for members who are interested in becoming members' operators

"If you were to ask someone to join an entirely new club, I'd suggest "You must just start!" Ben smiles. "With the perspective of the future, I'd have liked to start this two years back. Things like this take some time. If you begin earlier and get going and continue, you'll have more time that you be able to enjoy."

It's easy to do a bit more research "You can convince yourself that you're not doing something right or might be able to find a new approach. I've done that previously. When you hit "Go" to put something into the world and interact with actual people, it becomes something completely new. It becomes easier to solve the things you need to solve, not just thinking about hypothetical issues."

The author recommends that people not be too concerned: "If you're addressing someone's issue or need to address a need that you can assist, take action! Improvement is going to come with the course of time."
