In the beginning the process, we reached out the members of our global community creative directors in the Netherlands along with filmmakers from the UK, animators in Australia as well as NGO activists in Nigeria to find a few.

Then, we requested them to use their phones and cameras as well as computers, to respond to three questions regarding the forthcoming events:

  •     What's your mission this year?
  •     What's inspiring you in the new year?
  •     What will be the greatest problems you anticipate in 2023?

Their answers spoke to the power of community such as this one from the creative director of the film and Soursop founder Ravi Amaratunga Hitchcock...

"In each stream, we are able to only achieve a specific amount of work however, as a group we can do massive enormous gigantic, massive, and huge things."

...and endless possibilities in storytelling. I love this quote of Staff Pick filmmaker Faith Briggs.

"I do not want to make up interesting stories. I want to tell the stories that have meaning."

The post process is streamlined

We edited all the videos we received and decided on how best to edit them and edit them, we determined that every part of the video should be able to stand on its own. So, we created several supercuts that contain our top responses to the questions mentioned above.

To prepare for the potential of interactivity, the's team created a set of guidelines to change the video from sizzles and raw footage into an interactive experience.

  •  Add an interactive element within the first ten seconds
  • Allow for:15 to :20 between hotspots

The possibility of an interactive experience

We completed the experience with a unique video experience that lets viewers be in charge. It's all about deciding your future and how you would like to experience in 2023."
