We dove into those topics by bringing in three artists to discuss :
Gunnar Freyr, photographer and entrepreneur
Frauke Hameister Creative and photographer
Samuel Sparrow, maker, and potter
Discover how three artists decide what works from their portfolios they would like to showcase on their sites, as well as how they designed their online presence to reflect their aesthetic and work as well as the ways their websites have helped them grow their careers as creative professionals full-time.
Choosing what work to share on your website
The three creators focus on different elements of the experience for the viewers when choosing the work they'll showcase on their website. Gunnar is one example of this, which is seeking to offer the viewers a variety of options while remaining faithful to the content he developed.
"Most of the traffic that comes to my website comes from social media. This is why I don't try to make it seem like I'm doing too much with what I'm sharing on my social channels," he says. "My primary goal is to make it pertinent to the type of projects I'd like be involved in, and also my projects I'm proudest of. I feel this will be pertinent to my followers and potential clients, and even for people who are just starting out."
