When Jeremy Cohen was fifteen year old, an family vacation in the Yellowstone National Park unexpectedly sparked his love of photography.

"My father bought me a tiny digital point-and-shoot" Jeremy shared with . "My sister was taking pictures with it and I thought that they were really cool, so I decided to test it out. I snapped a lot of photos from nature, and this led me to enroll in a film photography course in my high school for an elective when I got home."

The initial desire to capture his surroundings was the foundation of his path to becoming a professional photographer. Starting with the Quarantine Roof Culture Series to the daily Portrait project Today I Photographed, Jeremy went on to employ his camera to "uplift and amplify untold portrayals of humankind." People noticed: Jeremy has garnered an following of more than one million users on social media, and even has the ability to build a lucrative photographer's career as a freelancer.

Working from home with the help of a website

This strategy worked: "I started to get contracted for small projects when I was working until I could become a full-time photographer on a contract basis."

"I have multiple uses for my website ," Jeremy says. "It's my primary website for people to browse through the most striking of my work, whether it's personal or for a client, or various other images."

Websites can help to establish trust among freelancers. "In my view," Jeremy says, "a solid website is imperative to photographers in order for clients to believe they are serious."
