Capturing quality content

To start with, we sought out people from our network of talents worldwide including creative directors from the Netherlands as well as filmmakers from UK, filmmakers from the UK animators in Australia and activists from NGO organizations from Nigeria for just some.

They were then asked to take their smartphones or laptops, and cameras to answer three questions regarding the coming year:

  •     What's the goal for you this year?
  •     What do you look for in the new year?
  •     What are the most significant challenges that you are anticipating for 2023?

The responses they got were a testament to the power of the community such as this one from the Creative Director, and Soursop founder Ravi Amaratunga Hitchcock...

"In our individual streams we could be limited, however collectively we can do massive huge, massive big, and enormous big, massive, and huge things."

...and the limitless possibilities for storytelling. I love this line from Staff Pick filmmaker Faith Briggs.

"I am not looking to create amazing stories. I prefer telling stories that matter."

streamlining the process of posting

After editing each video submitted, we knew we needed each part of the video be able to be able to stand on its own. We came up with an assortment of supercuts which feature our most popular responses to the above questions.

In anticipation of the possibility of interactivity, the team came up with a set of guidelines to help transform the video from sizzles and raw footage into an immersive experience.

  • Incorporate an interactive element in the first ten seconds of
  • Set a duration of 15 - :20 between each hotspot
