With a workforce that is more than 300,000. Stellantis - maker of brands like Peugeot, Fiat, and Chrysler - knows the importance in scaling pretty much every aspect. "We are within the top five car manufacturing companies in the world." states Phil Price, Head of The Performance Academy, Stellantis. "As the development and learning field grew, we quickly realized it was focused on what we could provide our workforce to improve performance." And so, The Performance Academy was established.

The headquarters are in the auto capital of England The folks from The Performance Academy produce thousands of hours of educational content for Stellantis employees. However, to keep up with their growing employee base, they needed a repeatable way to share details with employees across all over the world. "We've invested a significant amount of time looking at what people are looking for in their learning," says Phil. "Video-based instructional technology is the way to go."

As a member of the community for over an decade, the group is always aware of the benefits of videos. In this regard, Stellantis has changed their strategy away from in-person towards an all-online strategy. "With face-to-face instruction the requirement is to duplicate the same training 10 times, with an additional cost of 10," he says. "With video, you can scale it to no limit."

The ability to learn is unlimited.

"We have on average, about 350 hours' worth of resources available during a weekly period," notes Phil. "Behind that 350-hour period, we've probably have tens of thousands of hours worth of content that we've created and refined over the last 12 years."

This library of information allows employees to be trained when and where is best for the individual. "Our training is accessible 24/7," he adds. "That's important, because there are people taking it on their own time, because they know it's going to increase their personal performance."

Powerhouse Productions

Today, The Performance Academy is expanding to near-daily live streams, from sales trainings to board-level communication. To pull it off, The Performance Academy has invested in their production efforts, operating as a mini Hollywood studio in the heart of Coventry, England.

"Look at where we're at today," says Phil. "We're in our own studio. We're in our own ability to animate an overlay, perform any task we'd like to. Whatever you can be able to see in a film is now possible to do with The Performance Academy."

Partners for growth

With the latest production tools and a crack team of L&D specialists, The Performance Academy uses to create, host and disperse their efforts. "As the learning and development field has expanded, the company has continued to develop the methods of delivery, model and reports," says Phil. "We've greatly benefited from this."

" as an organization is considering, "How can we take this great work and offer it to an end user?' The benefits that we have working with is that we're in control," notes Phil. "It's a testament to capacity, the right partners right team members, and the right vision for how the future will look like."
