Is optimizing conversion rates in SaaS software any different from conventional A/B testing in the world of E-commerce?

Does it just aim to get the customers to click"buy", or the "buy" button (like the E-commerce website)? Is there something more to it?

I had a conversation with growth expert (and the current director at Growth at Planday) Frederic Linfjard (and I wanted to know what his opinion was on these issues.

The CRO within SaaS goes beyond "red button" as well as. blue button."
