Define your community's purpose and the reason you are there.

My community is known as Conscious Collective, and it's designed for those who are ready to embrace their full potential and their strength. Our members recognize the fact that we're all connected and we're all in this together, and we bring this awareness to spirituality. We have the opportunity to train as well as the opportunity to challenge ourselves on mindfulness, meditation and personal development with an emphasis on making spirituality accessible to access, enjoyable, and accessible. Everybody loves the brand innovative challenge system, the Live Room and leaderboard feature.

How is your community structured?

Two main circles are inside Conscious Collective for now. The number of circles will grow as we progress. Most of the action happens in "The Forum". This is for general conversation on all topics, challenge discussion and sharing, as well as invitations to attend live events. There is also the "Spirit Market" circle for people to display, purchase, sell, and trade their metaphysical works and accessories. Weekly challenges, group meditations classes, and various other events are all hosted in The Forum / Live Room (which is so much more effective than Zoom!). The Forum will be adding virtual co-working events as well as art night and oracle night in the month of April.

Additionally, I utilize the platform to manage my membership for advanced and my VIP mentorship group.

A recent community win

Many are starting to embrace the site. The members have been asking for events such as art nights, oracle evening, and a few other events, and are eager to participate and hosts.

The Leaderboard is fantastic! Each month, we give away a prize to the winner. The prize this month was a bag of Onyx Coffee, one the premier coffee roasters in the US. The prize isn't huge and it's not a huge deal, but it brings some enjoyment to the competition, and is extremely effective in involvement.

An idea I'd like to leave you with is to allow space for your community creatively. A lot of the biggest ideas and improvements that have come from the mastermind are inspired by the people within. Many of the connections have occurred naturally because of allowing the room for it to take place. has given me the tools to create a framework in place that runs seamlessly to allow me to be as authentic as possible for my members.

Tell us about your community and why they gather.

The Kathy Keats Community is an amazing community of people who love dogs who realize that achieving the fullest potential of dog sport (or anything else) isn't just about skill development, it's about growing. You can't kid a dog. The dogs are amazing mirrors who make us feel humble, push us to confront our weaknesses and inspire us to be more effective ... to them in our own lives, as well as to those around us.

It's still an experimental process of creating the ideal method for my audience. As of now, I'm making use of (or is planning to use) it in three different ways. One is an addition to online courses and the third is to provide a community of accountability that is supportive that is a membership on its own, and a third way is as a space to engage my podcast audience and bring them into my ecosystem. I use a combination of live meetings and my Live Room feature and Challenges to keep my audience active and focused on the classes. I also make weekly posts for my community members and are planning to implement discussions in the free section in order to know which topics and guests might be interesting with my podcasts.

If you're planning to use communities in conjunction with online courses, consider onboarding the community area FIRST before the date of your course's official start and get your audience engaging by introducing an open week live event, challenge, or leader board scavenger hunt -- because it's where the bigger learning curve is, then open your course area. This helps to avoid overwhelming and make it easier to connect to particular lessons within your course.

A recent community win

The course that I just completed was a huge hit, due to the fact that a majority of my clients aren't techie however they were able to engage in the live Q&As because of the intuitive user interface. There was more live face-to-face engagement in the community than I've ever experienced with other conferencing tools because the tech didn't get out of the way.

Describe your community and why they gather.

The community I am part of, the Level Up Club, is for people who are creative, entrepreneurs, and innovators to meet and connect with like-valued people that want to learn, level up and create a positive impact in the world.

How is your community structured?

I currently have 2 access groups "The Community" which is open to anyone who wants to join and "The Golden Circle Mastermind" which is my paid mastermind group. There are five circles in my group; One community is to post general content, Bookish is for talk about books and podcasting to be precise, for podcasters. And, NLP and Hypnosis are for those looking to discuss this, as well as one to my masterminds. The challenges have been great enjoyable and the community is loving being involved. The challenges so far have been about getting to know each other in addition to mindful and healthy living. Meetups are a great method of bringing new members into the community by sharing your events through social platforms.
