Creative Mind: How the brain works. From the creators of CreativeMindClass.

We are pleased to present our interview with Canadian-based illustrator designer, artist, and teacher Maia Faddoul. Maia is the first generation Canadian artist, who operates out of her Montreal studio. There she creates bright and colorful illustrations for packaging, editorials, publishing, and more. Her style is high-contrast bright and vibrant, often with a subtle political message hidden somewhere.

Maia is a total color-lover and kind of a excessive person in her artistic style. Maia utilizes her work to communicate her opinions, voice out about injustices and spread awareness of causes that mean so much to her. Make sure you check out her online classes, Instagram and also her Etsy store , where she offers the most adorable flowers earrings. Join us as we dive deep into the thoughts and creativity process from Maia Faddoul.

I think of my drawing style as 'High Contrast'.

I consider my style to be bright, vibrant and high contrast and often has a subdued message of social justice hidden in the background. I am a total color-lover and a bit of a extreme person when it comes to my artistic style.

What's the most important thing to making your illustrations?

A major aspect of my art is to create work that expresses my convictions as well as my values. My personality isn't the most outspoken or extrovert, therefore I tend to utilize my work to communicate my views, express my opinion, talk about injustices and spread awareness of causes that matter a lot to me.
