Tom started playing guitar in high school. It was not until high school when he began earning extra money through his sweet talents.

In his college, he was a guitar teacher to some of his friends. growing to include a wider variety of students.

After graduating from college, Tom spend 10 years in the banking industry. But he started to feel burnt out. Long hours and hard work were getting to him, so he started looking for a new method to pursue his love for.

Then, he began looking at alternatives. An acquaintance in web design was able to help him create his first-ever online guitar instruction website.

Despite the challenges of recording the lessons on front of the camera Tom persevered and realized the natural he was.

Back in '09 Tom migrated the site over to WordPress. He was looking for a secure platform that was easy to use and easy to update with content. In that light, he went on an exploration to find the ideal platform.

The successful transition is evident. In the moment of writing this blog post, TheGuitarLesson.com offers over 300 videos and counting.

His efforts resulted in a positive outcome in the end, and Tom was able to abandon the banking system and propel ahead on his membership site.

The internet helps countless solopreneurs and small companies get their feet on the ground.

In the beginning of his website, Tom says, "I didn't know anything about internet-related or web-based information."

The process is remarkably simple to begin with a barebones understanding of WordPress.

After his move to WordPress, Tom still needed the ability to join a community, and he was looking for a couple of essentials:

However, he wasn't able to make that decision without a lengthy trial time: "I tested all of the plugins for membership available, and I found to be the best one with regard to the quality and price."

It's priceless, for sure. As per Tom, it's a pretty nice thing to be able to make "a full time, normal earnings from helping others, and to be able to earn money doing the things I enjoy doing."
