Art collages - The CreativeMindClass Blog
The other day, I discovered Olga posting stories on Instagram of my hometown from my youth. In Warsaw's urban jungle is an undiscovered, revered green zone. I used to go there in summer time to gaze at gorgeous old pines and breathe in the fresh air of fresh air inside my urban lungs. In her tale, Olga visited this area on her first trip, however she also got mesmerized by one of the longest backyards of Warsaw. In the near future, I am sure she will create a Boernerowo inspired painting.

We inquired with Olga about the key to making her minimal collages and artworks of human-shaped landscapes.
"My Name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since I was a little kid, I've been painting and drawing a lot. I was a student at an art high school and took classes in Painting as well as Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm a designer, artist, and illustrator occasionally a graphic designer. Through my work, I focus on the relationship between humankind and nature by paying close attention to how we influence the environment in our backyards. When I look at hedges that have been trimmed, decorative plants, and well-designed home gardens, I am capturing the mysterious environment that surrounds us."

"For many years, I've also been creating simple collages. These collages were inspired by landscapes, still lifeor created as a result of experimentation with forms, textures as well as colours.

My style is heterogeneous as collage and painting are very different, but they share one thing in common: they soothe. I have heard this term from my audience many times, and I think that is the best description of my art. If I am tired of painting, I create collages, and vice versa. One style is a temporary escape from the other.

I believe that being aware is essential. I carefully observe everything I see, including the environment, architecture and objects. The result is my art. Through my work, you are not able to see the person, but you get the feeling of human beings in hedges that have been cut or in a mug left in the kitchen table."
