A watercolorist The CreativeMindClass Blog
"You'll often hear me repeat variations of this phrase while I instruct: we go from large to small, meaning bigger brush to small brush, loose to tight and dark to light. It is important to start with joy and excitement by following a loose outline, and then allowing the piece to speak back to you where it would like you to go."
Watercolor painting tips:
- Go from big to a small brush
- Go from loose movements to tight ones
- Go from the light colors to the dark ones.
My personal background
"I was the quiet kid in the rear of the class with her eyes buried in a sketchbook. Not much has changed since. In the beginning, I was experiencing an artistic burnout, however having a baby brought me back to watercolor painting. I found myself again through combining my art and faith-based practice. This led me to create "Watercolor Devo's." The work inspired me to working as a creative teacher and full time artist."

What would you say about your style of watercolor?
"I can't get away from the fun, bold or pink. The vintage vibe or tension visuals are often my goal when I'm drawing. Most importantly I love bringing the best of watercolor to the paper, letting it flow in vivid bleeding and bold shades."
